COVID-19 Diary – week 15

Bits of chaff and other leftover stuff that drips out my ears after my brain has finished chewing on it for a while.

I didn’t have a lot of time last week to “think”. I took a few days off for Father’s Day weekend and had planned to visit my dad. But since the re-awakening of the stupidity in people … er, since the COVID-19 case numbers started climbing again we decided to stay home and have a mini-staycation.

I did finish reading “White Fragility” by Robin DiAngelo. Great book for anybody to read, but especially white people. Here’s a bit of my review on Goodreads: “I think this book is a must read for any white person willing to change, willing to learn, or willing to listen. For me, it better defined what racism is so I know what to listen to and how to listen.

The remainder of the week was busy with catching up on work, having a new patio put in, having a new refrigerator delivered, and other odds and ends that made it a hectic week.

However, I’ve found that nothing melts away stress and aggravation quite like having a puppy roll over so you can rub her little belly.

That’s it from last week. Stay safe, wash your hands, social distance, and despite what our own dear President has to say … WEAR YOUR MASK when you’re in public.
