Week four of “hell class” in the books. Just three more full weeks and then the final. I’m about 15% confident I’ll even pass the class at this point, but we’ll see. I’m mostly just down because this week’s test was a disaster for me. And when I reached out to the professor to get some clarification, he was less than helpful (as usual). I’m now crafting an email to the department on which another student wants to contribute about how horrible this class is and how it’s souring the entire program.

Oh, and taxes are due tomorrow. This is the first year we were going to have a CPA do them. I know it’s a busy time of year for them, I get it. But I reached out about a month ago to start the process, then had all the docs to her about a week later. She’s been blowing me off almost that whole time but kept saying she’d get to them. She’s apparently NOW working on them (Sunday evening). Frustrating.

Thursday would have been my mother-in-law’s birthday. We celebrated by having “decadence”, which was something my wife, her brother, and mother would get at Denny’s after special occasions. Just a piece of chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Very decadent for sure. Miss you maw.

Saturday was the first grilling of the season. I grilled tri-tip, asparagus, packet potatoes, and vegan sausage for anybody who didn’t want the beef. All very tasty and I’m looking forward to more!
