Back … barely

We returned from our trip a couple days ago. I’m physically and mentally exhausted. Allergies are now kicking in. I have a lot of work to catch up on (as I was only able to do a portion of it remotely). My family member isn’t doing any better (but also not really any worse). It’s all pretty taxing.

On the good news front though, my oldest graduates from college this weekend. She worked hard for the last several years in her chosen field. She’s a complete professional in everything she does and I love to watch her work. I’m so proud of her and can’t wait to see what she does next!

Back on the bad news front, my son came down with food poisoning. It literally struck when we were two hours from home. It was close to midnight and we were on a little two lane road in the mountains of West Virginia (thanks, Google Maps). It made the rest of the trip take much longer than it should have and he’s still not completely over it almost two days later. Poor guy, but at least we were home for him to recuperate and not somewhere on the road.

I know it will take a few days to get back to “normal”, so bear with me.
